One experienced person remains accountable
Direct from first look to live site.
No agency layer, no account manager, no production queue. The person who shows you the homepage is the person who builds it and the person who changes it two years later.
The short history
Twenty-eight years of this, and counting.
I started building websites in 1997, which is long enough to have shipped things in
hand-written HTML, watched three generations of “the future of the web” arrive and
leave, and learned which parts of the job actually move a business forward.
Most of that time has been spent on systems considerably more complicated than a
local service website — business software, integrations, the kind of work where a
mistake shows up in someone’s accounts. A five-page website for a plumber is not
technically hard for me. That is exactly the point: the cost of building it well is
low enough that I can show you the homepage before asking you for anything.
What I am not: a marketing agency, a reseller of somebody else’s page builder, or
a team of juniors behind one experienced-sounding name. There is no upsell ladder
waiting once you are inside.
What I am: one developer who would rather have fifty local businesses on a fair
monthly fee for a decade than fifty thousand dollars once from people who feel a bit
misled. That is a business model, not a personality trait — but it does decide how
this site is written.
The terms that matter
Nothing here is designed to trap you.
Every one of these exists because the opposite is common in this industry, and because a business that stays by choice is worth more than one that stays by contract.
How the work runs
Written, async, and inside your working day.
Being one person in Malaysia is not a compromise you tolerate — it is why the response times work and why the price can be what it is.
Decisions, scope and changes live in email where you can find them later. Nothing important is agreed on a call nobody recorded.
Malaysia sits inside Australian business hours. A message sent in your morning gets a written answer that morning, not overnight.
There is no pipeline you get moved along, no discovery call and no proposal deck. You look at a homepage and decide.
Sites run on servers we rent and manage directly, not resold from a platform that can change its pricing. That is why A$100 a month is sustainable.
Quoted and invoiced in AUD through a Hong Kong company, so there is no currency guessing on your side.
A small number of builds run at once, deliberately. It is the reason a small change does not sit in a queue for a fortnight.
The first useful thing you receive is the work
